Well here we go october is upon us ,wont be long before the clocks are altered ,The weeks been ok nothing special,Wednesday was a bit of a let down for a couple of my regulars,beaten by the weather.we tried for skate but only managed a couple of small ones .With a strong North Easterly it was to say the least uncomfortable as can be verified by Ian {thank your wife for the stew sorry you couldn't manage any}we moved inshore off Holland still rather slow and uncomfortable ,moved west near the spider and managed a few whiting and dog fish but think the weather won.

Friday saw some newcomers from Southend{Welcome}and great weather, we again ventured off in search of a few skate or better fish ,Yes not bad ,Numerous dog fish and 7 skate all but one were returned alive although sizable.we also managed quite a few whiting

Saturday well we tried again weather touch and go ,bit uncomfortable ,managed five skate ,dog fish and whiting .Decided to have the last hour back inside the Blackwater .Good signs the river is full of good sized whiting and a few keep able codling .After comparing catches with a couple of the dingy anglers i've been speaking too I would say the best of the fishing this week has been in the river ,several have tried the Collier and the Tripod with little success . so Its looking like goodbye skate and hello codling and whiting ,weekends are limited but quite a few mid week days available so give me a ring on 07880 736407 and don't forget now booking for next year so don't miss out on the tope and hounds ,specially the tope its quite a short season
