welll what a week no parties it was too calm so had to settle for decorating?came the weekend sure enough it started to blow,5th weekend on the trot but NO wasn't going to be beaten.we went out Saturday and didn't think we would get there,some others cancelled and some fished inside but to hell with it we wanted fish!!! first fish over the side within 10 minutes was a hound of about 6lbs by John Palmer-Barnes seven fished and stood up and it was rough!!!! 14 miles off. Total for the day 18 skate,3 hounds,1 bass 8 dog fish 3 small tope.biggest fish went to Wally 12lbs skate all the fish were returned and it took ages to take wally's picture I had to convince him it wasn't a sting ray all fish were returned by the 7 anglers we only fished the flood it was 25mph south easterly

Sunday different world flat calm and sunny ?erie not what we are used to 6 anglers from Cambs should have been 8 ????? Tried a mark slightly east started off ok but died when the tide ran.we gave it our best shot then moved to yesterdays mark.Tagged 3 hounds biggest 10lbs ,9.5lbs and 9lbs all tagged and released.ended up with about 14 skate some were kept ,a few dog fish and a few small tope and one dab.strangest catch a pig ?well a skate with a curly tale,haven't seen that before,might get out this week but boat needs antifouling so will see, Question ?how do you go wrecking on the biggest tide of the year??? baffled
