where to start? Friday new party of policemen from my home town of Romford nice bunch of blokes but weather again played a part. Although it restricted where we went they all stood up to it well with not a chucker in site.Result about eight skate lots of spottie dogs ,small tope and one eel. Saturday Mark from Bury st Edmunds and crew,Started off rough but calmer than the previous day, didn't take long we were soon into skate,we ended up with plenty of skate about 12 in total with a mixture being kept best fish weighed in at 11.5lbs also caught were one eel ,dog fish x ?lost count ,small tope and hounds. Bad news Andy only had to put one rod away.he started with two but while having 40 winks was mugged by a fish as big as ????gone one rod/mag reel.but read on ,the good news for me that day was it wasn't one of mine but there you go it has happened to many of us including yes me. Sunday off to the same mark lifted the crab pot down tide to see if it might have snagged the rod and reel,no luck.went to our mark .Chick from Mersea had invited some friends down and yes weather was great and so was the fishing we ended the day with 24 skate most were sizable but many were returned we also caught quite a few young tope and each move to keep on the fish could be measured in yards we moved three times and stayed in approx 30 ft. after the tide had gone we moved off for slack water dog fish same place as yesterday and they were there in abundance. biggest skate..that day 9.5lbs with many others around that size now for the anticlimax of the week ,got back to the mooring off loaded the anglers tied up boat.Placed camera and keys in the dingy went to the front of the boat ,pulled up the slack rope and noticed something in the water .It was black and leather then I realized it was camera keys ect they must have been sitting on the slack rope and by fluke gone over when the rope tightend.THE BLOODY LOT.time I jumped into dingy to retrieve it but it had sunk I have lost the lot ,all the pictures ,house keys, boat keys, garage door remote.I have and did contemplate diving but it was on the drift and could have bottomed anywhere.I will try and dredge it up Tuesday but don't hold out a lot of hope,I know the camera will be u/s but the memory card might still retain the pictures .I'm gutted, sorry you anglers won't be on the net ,if I can retrieve I will but ??? anyway Andy looks like we both lost out this week end cheers dave weaving. Sorry again to the photographed ones. NO PICTURES THIS WEEK.YES MAYBE PICTURES THIS WEEK /TOMORROW ???? WE DIVED WE FOUND IT AND THE KEYS JUST DRYING EVERYTHING OUT AND HOPEFULLEY EVEN IF CAMERA US CARD SHOULD STILL READ WILL KNOW TOMORROW CHEERSX3 DAVE. NEWS FLASH .DIVED FOUND THE CAMERA KEYS ECT AFTER 30MIN .GOOD NEWS THE KEYS WORKED SORRY ABOUT THE PICS THEY WOULDNT WORK HAVE TO GO AGAIN.
