We've had our ups and downs this week but we have had some good success notably a hound of 21lbs+ caught by First timer Ben Allen. Ben fished with his father on Friday and interestingly I learnt from him that he has graduated as a marine biologist and had been lectured at Southampton University by Ken Collins the man behind our UK shark tagging program. I have tagged the fish and filled in the tagging form for Ken. Ironic he should receive one from one of his pupils.I recon he will be pleased to know his expupils are in on the act of looking after the fish . Tuesday last week disaster the fish didn't want to play and we struggled .Saturday saw a new party Ross and the Volvo boys from Herts area .Rod Hire but they did ok quite a few hounds and all caught ,biggest 11lbs and I think they enjoyed the day.They tagged quite a few and hopefully got the taste for fishing .Sunday !! where have all the hounds gone .ALL boats struggled they just didn't want to play.we had a few but not what we had enjoyed previous days.The bonus for us were 3 decent skate to 10lbs and a fine conditioned Bass of 10lbs 20z caught weighed and returned by John Jorden. any way busy week this week so see what happens .And maybe the night trip will occur Friday ???? cheers dave weaving .
