Sorry for missing last weeks news letter and the late arrival this week ,Those who have been out with me know the reason ,slow fishing and appalling weather ,We have managed a few each time we've gone but the weather has been extreme ,Mainly cod still but with the milder weather we should soon be seeing a few skate.The cod should stay till the end of April and we are looking for mixed bags.

I've had a bit of a problem with fuel supplies recently !It seems that some local commercial fishermen have taken hum bridge at comments made by me regarding smoothounds last year,as an angler I feel I 'm also being singled out because of the bass situation which quite frankly I know nothing about .After 18 years purchasing my diesel from West Mersea I now have to go to Bradwell for fuel whilst others continue to use local commercial facilities.Still at 58 years of age and an in dependant operator I suppose I am seen as an easy target. It's an inconvenience but I will survive the anonymous attention I am receiving .

Fishing ,out Friday this week was meant to be out Monday and Wednesday but the weather won lets hope we have something to cheers about next week {AS WELL AS RESURECTING MY MOBILE NO}
