week ending 7/1/21007 |
well that's it,Had a good year ,pity the weather has carried on the start of this year as it had finished 2006.Two trips this week Wed welcomed a new party from Southend,Ray and pals 4 anglers .I understand like so many they have suffered the countless cancellations with the weather ect on South Coast trips .Well we couldn't get them offshore again due to the wind but we did get them fish,River mark again strong S/Westerly bit of a struggle against the wind till high tide but comfortable ebb with a fair run of cod to 3lbs and whiting on the ebb all caught and given conditions showed at least we can 90% of the time still get out and get you fish.look forward to seeing you later in the year scroll back through our latest catches and see what lies in store when we can get off? Thursday cancelled and that was it,rod hire/weather lack of numbers so that sealed the day.Rumour had it Saturday was going to be fit so I contacted some regulars and tried it.all I can say was it was JUST A RUMOUR.it was again South West but we went. First mark was a bit beam on and uncomfortable but we had a few fish.decided to seek a bit of comfort to the west [not the river] not bad few more codling up to 3 lbs whiting, dog fish and a couple of skate all five had codling but best bag of the day went to Mike Cain.he had two skate of 11lbs and 10.5lbs.anyway holiday tomorrow what with that and servicing the boat I will be back in and doing it From 24th of Feb so don't forget to log in then that's when the reports start again.all the best thanks for your support 2006 look forward to seeing you all in 2007 lets hope that weather is kinder.cheers dave Weaving
