Mixed week this week ,lots of Dog fish,quite a few more hounds and a few skate .Small tides didn't do us a lot of favours.The skate haven't been so thick on the ground so far this year and we have had to look offshore for them and that's been a bit patchey.hope fully the bigger tides and warmer weather this week will result in a few more fish moving in ,That's certainly the case with the hounds,no monsters but then we haven't really been fishing hard for them .Possibly this week we might try and drop the hermit traps and give them a try .Most of the fish this week have come on squid and fish baits.The worm hasn't really worked offshore for those who have tried it .With the weather now showing signs of settling down the water should soon be clearing so make sure you've got some feathers on board.havent heard of any mackerel being caught yet but wont be long.Good news for the dingy river anglers ,There are a few bass now being caught biggest from the river last week was one of 6lbs from the Thurslet area.
