week ending 8/10/2006 |
well we've got fishing and other things to talk about this week.lets do the fishing first .Wednesday yep we got the crap weather but again we went ,4 anglers 7 skate one bass couple of small tope and dog fish and one decent hound that had forgotten to leave with all her mates,Caught by Bob Carr from Beckton on squid on a flowing trace she was a respectable 16lbs Bobs first tangle with one of our better species photo and returned. Saturday I've been trying to keep away from the small codling that have appeared inside the wallet. We sat on the Gunfleet it was ROUGH.we had four species but not what we were looking for ,bass but one skate.eventually not being able to hold in the tide we moved inshore.Small codling couple of keepers, more dogs and another skate. Sunday CALM!!!!! COULDNT STAY IN punched the tide but nothing great, skate, one cod ,big dabs and dog fish like you've never seen ,The sea bed must be moving with them.bit disappointing really ,it seems the smaller tides have been fishing better ??.we will have to see what next week brings SPACES WEDNESDAY. I have been asked by www.save-our-sharks.org to offer support to their moves regarding protection for our tope please visit the site and if you support this please mail defra .the address is 'tope@defra.gsi.gov.uk' proposed tope regulations. Please note any moves to support proposed legislation must be in to defra by the 20TH October.
