We went diving Monday and dived a wreck where I have recently had good catches of bass,The visibility was not that good in the open water maybe a metre at best.the wreck surprisingly enough was very small and well buried .we went to another wreck on top of the sands and must of had 3 meters visability.Tues day saw Four anglers trying to fulfill their ambition of decent Tope,unfortunately it didn't happen but the first fish aboard was a bass of 10lbs for visiting angler Taffy Lucas.The Tope just weren't there and we did struggle for mackerel could be visibility .Interestingly enough we have had a couple of decent whiting this week the rest of the day was made up of dog fish and skate .Wednesday saw an angler who hasn't been out with me for quite some time,we traveled East and yes caught a lot of tope ,mostly between 4/6lbs must have been last years we also had hounds,dog fish and skate but nothing outstanding .Thursday I had Tuesdays party back for a second visit,They had been let down on a weeks holiday fishing elsewhere we started on a shallow mark with one eel ,a bass and the first hound came in at 10lbs.didnt want to miss the tide so we tried a deeper mark which fished well all through the tide,The anglers retained a couple of males but all the females big and small were tagged and released .Friday saw a new party from Witham and surrounding area some were novices and had the experience of loosing several large hounds,quite a few were boated and tagged but not as many as the day before .still hope they got the taste ,the weather was a bit of a let down with a good 4/5 south westerly .Saturday saw the Baker boys on a day out,only three One cried off.It fished all through the day but not fast and furious we tagged quite a lot and Will although a late starter finished off with the best Hound of 13.5lbs.Comming in the wind freshened S/w.Sunday Nope never happened bloody weather cancelled told the anglers to go down the pier ?don't know if they tried it ? what we are trying this week is a night trip Friday night Two boats 14 anglers That is of course weather permitting not a regular thing we do but just trying it for the crack let you know next week cheers dave.Still waiting for the camera back from repair with photos for last week ? using my phone but takes ages to update the webb site
