Weekending 19/8/2007 |
Saturday seven anglers who had been with me last year the weather wasn't much better but we did get them some bigger fish. Twelve year old William Smyth of Wivenhoe had his first boat trip in conditions that could best be termed as very unpleasant.Force4/5 gusting 6 South Westerly William was first to catch with a fine hound of 9lbs ,biggest Saturday was 14lbs. Sunday Maldon sea angling club, good day, good weather, good fishing. Two weeks ago I had a guy phone me asking for a trip I checked with the club and put him on. Saturday night I phoned and confirmed all was ok.YES.Sunday morning all club members turned up we waited on the boat for Mr Illusive. Did he turn up ? No. would he answer his phone? No result was the club could have filled this space so the loser of £45.00 was me well hope you read this. your number will be circulated to the other skippers .I operate on trust and people like you spoil it for every one trying to book a boat had you just had the decency to tell me or contact me the space would have been filled and I would not be £45.00 out of pocket. Anyway enough said about the bad parts he missed a good days fishing and certainly won't get on here in future. Young Tom Clayton 17 year old apprentice had his first sea trip.[he's a carp angler] what he experienced was nothing like carp his biggest hound was 17lbs 4oz. All had hounds with Dave Earny boating another of 14lbs 6oz we had nothing under 8lbs also boated were one eel several dog fish and we finished the day having a feather for mackerel and again Dave Earny managed to winkle out a bass of 3lbs amongst several smaller ones on the boat. Well we cant do much about the weather so this week its wait and see I have spaces Thursday and its the Clacton air show so come and do both? Regarding individuals still doing them but in future its bankers cards, name and address or try some one else. Cheers Dave Weaving. YES ALL WENT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
