28TH September a group of seven medics based at Colchester including one woman ,Maggie Hodge and introduced by Robbie at Porters local tackle shop made the best of the predicted bad weather and small tides.With winds predicted to reach gale 8 Sw.the only place to fish was an inshore mark,The day started slow with the odd small whiting and dog fish plus one small hound.as the tide dropped we moved East a couple of miles .We were rewarded with more whiting, dog fish and skate ten in total.All the skate were a keep-able size but the anglers decided to return all of the fish.We fished the ebb tide and with the wind increasing from the South West we managed a reasonable day
